Ray has been published on the front cover of Birding Business Magazine (people portrait), on the rear cover of the Edmonton Nature Club's magazine (Wood Bison), and has had images used to illustrate an article (full spread) for Prediction Magazine (UK). His images have also been used as illustrations in print and on websites, and ,most recently, licensed to artists for use as source material for fine art works.

He has given presentations at Images Alberta Camera Club and St. Alberta Camera club, and has spoken at two local public libraries on behalf of IACC.
